Long Term Care

Marilee is involved with educating consumers through the website (www.LTCmonth.com), her writing and speaking to consumer groups, at events such as investor conferences, women’s conferences, and senior expos.  Marilee does not work with consumers individually regarding the purchase of long-term care insurance, or any other products, such as retirement housing or care giving options.

Marilee has been a consumer advocate on the topics of rate stabilization and consumer-friendly claims appeals processes for long-term care insurance, and she is frequently quoted by the media on these topics.            Watch Marilee LIVE Interview on the CBS Early Show

She was invited to attend the National Endowment for Financial Education Think Tank “Long-Term Care: Our Next National Crisis” specifically for her understanding of consumer concerns.  Marilee's book “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Long-term Care Planning,”  is a comprehensive guide to the topic, and has been the bestseller in it’s category at Amazon since publication.

Long Term Care Planning Month was founded by Marilee to raise public awareness.  Held each year in October, this event has been listed in Chase’s Calendar of Events (the media “bible” for special occasions and days) since 2000.  Please visit www.LTCmonth.com then for more information.
